WebIt seems that if you brick a motherboard because of a bios update, you can use that header (JSPI1) to recover the bios, if anything else doesn't work. But how do you actually use it ? I've already read about it and it seems … WebChip still can't be read, so I ordered a new one. Also managed to pull a pad on the board, though I can jump it back to the JSPI1 header. While it's arriving, this has gotten me thinking about potentially mounting the bios externally using an SOIC8 socket and hooking that up to JSPI1, and leave the original spot on the board unpopulated.
