I looked into copper wire but it would cost like 40 bucks to surround the pot. Does anyone have any other suggestions short of some kind of toxic slug killer? Thanks. Webb28 okt. 2010 · Sure enough, they worked on slaters. Like auOrey, I grow mine in pots. My problem was Portugese millepedes. I mixed copper sulphate with petroleum jelly and smeared under the rims. It has worked a treat, but now little lizards have discovered them. No idea what to do about those, though the damage isn't too bad.
